2. Press it to the wall, wipe the outside edge clean, and wipe the inside edge to seal it to the wall.
3. Set the first tile using a square.
4. Set a heavily buttered tile on spacers, tightly against the first piece. Tilt it up into place so that the thinset squeezes out to the top and the open side.
5. Clean off the excess setting compound. Slide the tile over to insert the head joint spacer.
6.Check the newly set tile with your square and move on to the next one.
