1. Take photos of any visible standing water, plumbing damage, or heating system damage with a timestamp app.
Preparation for Winterization
2. Photos of the commodes being flushed.
3. Photos of the commodes being cleaned.
4. Photo of the water heater with pilot off (if the residence has a gas water heater).
5. Photo of the water heater gas valve placed in off position with time and date.
6. Photo of the water heater breaker turned off and taped in off position.

Water Supply System Test
8. Photo of air compressor hoses attached to the system for a pressure test of both hot and cold lines, typically at the clothes washer valves.
9. Photo of air compressor in the on position, including a display of the time and 55 psi gauge reading, with time and date.
10.Photo of the same data after a 15-minute pressure test.
Water Supply System Purge
11.Photos of plumbing, showers and faucets, being drained of water and air.
12.Photos of faucets with a hand underneath the dry open showers and faucets.
13.Photo of the pressure tank (for well water systems) being drained, with time and date.

Sanitary Drainage System Frost proofing
15.Photos of the commodes with nontoxic pink ethylene glycol poured into the bowl and tank.

18.Photos of sinks with pink antifreeze being poured into drain traps.
19.Photos of the sinks(bathroom, kitchen, utility) with a winterization sticker taped to the adjacent counter or wall with a date.

Water Supply System Shutoff
24.If the property has municipal water, photograph the water main supply pit open and the valve turned on with time and date.
25.Next, take a photo of the water main, shut off and zip tied in the off position, with time and date.
26.Then take a photo of the water meter with date and time.
27.If the property has well water supply, take a photo of the well pump breaker taped in the off position with time and date.
28.Photo of the water meter removed from the line and stored with seals attached with time and date.
Water Heater Winterization
29.Photo of the water heater drain valve in the open position with hose attached with time and date.
30.Photo of the other end of the hose with water flowing into the drain.
31.Photo of hand under water heater drain valve to confirm the tank is empty.
